What it is
Fire Pit is a small-group party mode: everyone joins one private room and builds a single story together, one short paragraph at a time, each turn building on what came before.
- Host creates the room and shares a room code.
- Players join with a display name and wait in the lobby until the host starts.
- Turns rotate; rooms can use timed turns with a warning before an auto-skip.
- React with emoji during play; when the story ends, vote for a favorite paragraph and open a printable transcript.
How it works
If you are the host
- Enter your display name and choose Create room.
- Tell friends the room code shown in the lobby.
- When everyone has joined, press Start story.
- Take your turn when you are the current writer; you can skip turns or end the story from host tools when needed.
If you are joining
- Get the room code from the host.
- Enter the code and your display name, then Join room.
- Wait in the lobby until the host starts the story.
- Watch for your turn to add the next paragraph.
